Students never create accounts, never sign in, and are never asked for any personal information. Published lessons are static pages; writing a student types into a lesson stays in their browser and is never sent to our servers. What we collect from students: nothing.
Your email and sign-in credentials (managed by Supabase Auth); your profile choices (name, educator type); the content you create (lessons, courses, images you select, audio we generate for you); your voice recording and logged consent if you clone your voice; your plan and usage counts (AI drafts, audio characters) for metering; and, if you subscribe, billing status from Stripe. We do not sell personal data, we do not run advertising, and we do not use third-party ad trackers.
Each service receives only what its feature needs: Supabase stores your account, content, and audio files. Vercel serves the site. Anthropic receives the text or PDFs you submit to the composer, to draft lesson content. ElevenLabs receives your voice recording (to create your voice) and lesson text (to generate audio). Stripe processes payments — we never see your card number. Resend delivers sign-in and account emails. Openverse, Wikimedia Commons, the Smithsonian, NASA, the Cleveland Museum of Art, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art receive your image search terms and serve open-licensed images; USGS, MET Norway, OpenStreetMap, Our World in Data, GBIF, and the World Bank receive chart queries (a place name, a species, an indicator) and return open data. We don’t send these providers anything else, and none of them may use your content to advertise to you.
Your content stays until you delete it or your account. Deleting your account removes your lessons, courses, uploads, generated audio, your cloned voice at ElevenLabs, and your consent record; billing records are kept as long as tax law requires. We use only the cookies required to keep you signed in. No advertising cookies. If we add analytics, it will be privacy-respecting and cookieless, and this policy will say so first.
LessonBuilder accounts are for adults (18+). Because students never provide personal information, the platform is designed so that no child’s data is collected at all — that is the design, not a promise to handle it carefully.
