LessonBuilder is a lesson-building platform operated by Clarifico, LLC (“we”). Educators (“you”) create lessons and courses; students view published pages without accounts. These terms are a contract between you and Clarifico when you create an account.
You must be an adult educator (18+) to hold an account. Your lessons are yours: you retain all rights to content you create, and you grant us only the license needed to store, process, and serve it — including to the third-party services below, solely to provide the features you use. You are responsible for having the rights to material you upload (for example, worksheets you did not author), and for what you publish: published lessons are public web pages.
Don’t use LessonBuilder to publish unlawful, hateful, or harmful content; to collect personal information from students; to infringe others’ intellectual property; or to clone a voice that is not yours or without the speaker’s documented consent. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
The standard plan is a single monthly subscription billed by Stripe, with a 7-day free trial that has reduced limits. Your card is charged when the trial ends unless you cancel first, which you can do anytime from the billing portal; cancellation stops future charges and your plan runs to the end of the paid period. Prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice. Usage ceilings (AI drafts and voice-audio characters per month) exist on every plan to keep the platform sustainable.
Accounts accepted into the educator collaborator program are never charged for the platform — not now, and not after paid plans exist. This is a standing commitment: collaborator status, once granted, is not revoked for non-payment reasons and survives future pricing changes. Collaborator accounts have generous usage ceilings that may be adjusted for platform sustainability, but will always remain at least equal to the paid plan’s ceilings, at no cost.
The composer drafts content with AI. Drafts can be wrong; you review and edit everything before it reaches students, and you are the publisher of what you publish. AI usage is metered per month by plan.
Voice cloning requires your explicit, recorded consent and may only be used for your own voice. Generated audio for your lessons is stored so it can play free forever; deleting your account deletes your voice profile at our voice provider and your stored consent record.
LessonBuilder is built on external services, each used only for its feature: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage), Vercel (hosting), Anthropic (AI drafting), ElevenLabs (voice cloning and audio), Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), and open-content APIs — Openverse, Wikimedia Commons, the Smithsonian, NASA, the Cleveland Museum of Art, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art (images and artworks), and open data services — USGS, MET Norway, OpenStreetMap, Our World in Data, GBIF, and the World Bank (charts). Your use of LessonBuilder is also subject to those providers’ terms where their services process your content. If a provider becomes unavailable, the dependent feature may degrade (for example, lessons fall back to browser voices).
LessonBuilder is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the same extent, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or $50 for collaborator accounts). Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
